Michelle A. Rankine

Michelle Rankine is the owner of Right at Home Collin & Denton County.  Rankine was born in Jamaica but moved to New Jersey at an early age. Rankine holds a PhD in Higher Education from the University of Denver, Master’s Degree in Sports Management & Pedagogy Administration and Bachelors in Kinesiology from Purdue University. At her time at Purdue University, she created the Purdue RAP (Retention Academic Program) program which serves to assist minority students’ mentorship and tutoring opportunities in STEM (Science, technology, Engineering and Math) majors, currently funded under National Science Foundation.  She has over twelve year experience in sports and higher education institutions in the United States and Caribbean. She is actively involved in the youth and senior community as a volunteer serving others in the health and education sector.

As the owner, of Right at Home Collin & Denton county Rankine is able to serve her local community in Texas with a business of caring for others. Rankine states, “I finally found my niche and it feels great. The most rewarding part of providing in how care is knowing we’ve made a positive difference in our clients’ lives and the lives of their family.

She currently serves as the Board of Director, Vice President for Strong Sister Silly Sister, a non-profit which helps assist under represented first year collegiate ladies with educational information and networking opportunities. As well as Dream Jamaica, a nonprofit which helps inspire young Jamaicans to pursue educational and professional opportunities through transformative programs and mentoring relationships.
