Student Scholarship

Students who have interest in going forward to college are eligible for the Delia Jasso Employee Scholarship. Please note that this includes vocational or trade school, Junior college and universities.

Those students who have interest in pursuing teaching as a profession are eligible for the Grow Your Own program (previously referred to as Teacher Fellows) supported by the TIF grant for the next 3 years.

It is possible that a student could be a participant and a recipient in one or more of these programs. Advisors, Transition Coordinators and Principals are encouraged to assist students who have demonstrated a desire, need and capability of participating in one or more of these initiatives.

DELIA JASSO TEXANS CAN EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIP

The Delia Jasso Texans Can Employee Scholarship is dedicated to providing partial scholarships for students who will attend a Vocational or Trade School, Junior College, State College or University full time. Scholarship awards will be made payable directly to the institution attended by the recipient.

GROW YOUR OWN SCHOLARSHIP

Any recipient chosen for the Grow Your Own Program must graduate in the current year in which the scholarship is dispensed. If recipient ineligibility occurs, the committee will reconvene and choose a new recipient from the remaining eligible candidates.
