Linda K. von Quintus

Linda K. von Quintus brings over thirty years of business and legal experience prioritizing the most substantive issues concerning strategy and strategic risk. Early in her career, she worked as a marketing and public relations manager. Her first role as a lawyer, an enforcement attorney at the Texas Department of Insurance, taught her the value of the Texas Administrative Code and the Open Meetings Act. She also managed impaired insurance companies working in the Conservation Division prior to working for the three-member board at the State Board of Insurance. Her experience in managing an employee workforce of over 300 staff in the Regulation and Safety Program at the Texas Department of Insurance brings the value of knowing how to work with cross-functional teams in identifying potential governmental/policy roadblocks to attain business objectives.

After 13 years of public service, she joined AAA Texas, LLC shortly after it entered the Texas market to sell insurance products in 2000. As vice president of public, community, and government affairs, Linda brings the value of developing and executing strategic government affairs and public policy plans and the understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory processes. Linda holds the distinction of being AAA Texas’s first regulatory counsel and, later, the VP of Government and Public Affairs with AAA Texas.  She retired in 2020.

Linda values the 10 ten years she served as (substitute) associate municipal court judge/magistrate in Austin as it helped her to become more sensitive to culturally diverse families and language barriers. She also brings a history of involvement in volunteer and community efforts, including work with the Capital Area AIDS Legal Project, as well as service as Vice President of the Houston chapter of the NAACP, President of the Austin Women’s Political Caucus, and Vice President of the Texas Women’s Political Caucus Austin. Linda has also witnessed the need for dropout prevention up close and is enthusiastic about serving Texans Can’s mission to underserved students.Linda earned a bachelor’s in business administration with a specialty in Marketing from University of Houston and a juris doctorate (cum laude at Thurgood Marshall School of Law) at Texas Southern University. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and is an alumna of Leadership Texas and Leadership America, both nonprofit organizations.
