DALLAS, TX — In recognition of World Mental Health Day on October 10, TCA joins communities around the world in raising awareness about mental health and the importance of compassion, connection, and support.
At TCA, we believe that caring for the whole person is just as important as academic achievement. Every student, parent, and staff member deserves to feel seen, valued, heard, and supported.
TCA is committed to connecting its school community with mental health resources:
Students: TCA School Counselors provide guidance and support and can help connect eligible students and families with TCHATT (Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine) services.
Staff: Confidential support is available through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Employees may contact Human Resources for access information.
Families: Dial 211 for community mental health resources or call/text 988 for free, 24/7 mental health crisis support.
World Mental Health Day serves as a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness—checking on a friend, listening without judgment, or offering encouragement—can make a meaningful difference.
TCA encourages its entire school community to continue making mental health, kindness, and emotional well-being a priority—not just on October 10, but every day.
