A former divisional CFO with AIG and previously with Metlife, Steve Anderson is now retired from a forty-year career where he saw himself not only as a “generalist with financial expertise,” but also as a builder of people who exercised solid judgment and analytical skills to make his companies stronger companies, and his co-workers stronger employees.

A Texas resident since 2004, Mr. Anderson holds a BS in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and brings previous volunteer experience with the St. Louis, Missouri, chapter of the United Way. He is eager to bring his experience to Texans Can Academies and continue its tradition of removing barriers to education.

Mr. Anderson resides in the Houston area and enjoys golf and travel.
