In March, Texans Can Academies is celebrating Women's History Month by honoring the significant contributions of women and girls throughout American history, in alignment with the nation's celebration.
First observed as a weeklong celebration, the United States expanded its celebration honoring American women to a month long observance in the late 1980s. The observance coincides with International Women’s Day, which is being celebrated this year on Friday, March 8.
