DALLAS, Texas — Texans Can Academies is proud to announce that the district has earned a B rating with an overall score of 81 in the 2026 A–F Accountability Ratings released on August 14, 2026.
The rating represents an important achievement for Texans Can Academies and reflects the collective work of students, teachers, campus leaders, staff, families, and community partners across the district.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment,” said Dr. James Ponce, Superintendent of Texans Can Academies. “This B rating is an opportunity to celebrate our progress while continuing to focus on the work ahead. Every day, our team is committed to creating meaningful connections with students and providing them with the academic and social-emotional support they need to succeed.”
Texans Can Academies serves students through a personalized approach to education designed to meet them where they are and help them move toward a successful future. The district's commitment is that students receive an individualized education and the social-emotional guidance needed to become college, career, or military ready, and ultimately contributing members of society.
That commitment is reflected in three priorities that guide the work of Texans Can Academies:
CAPTURE Hearts. CONNECT to Students. COMMIT to Excellence.
While the district celebrates its B rating, Texans Can Academies remains focused on continuous improvement and ensuring every student has access to opportunities, resources, relationships, and high-quality instruction that support academic achievement and success beyond high school.
“This accomplishment belongs to the entire TCA family,” said Dr. Ponce. “We thank our parents and families for trusting us with their students, our staff for believing in our mission, and most importantly, our students for continuing to work toward their goals. We are proud of how far we have come and excited about where we are going.”
