Students at Texans Can Academies Learn Quail Anatomy Thanks to Texas Parks and Wildlife

March 19, 2018

Students at Texans Can Academy – Fort Worth Lancaster Avenue learned how to determine the age and gender of the common quail, also known as the coturnix coturnix, thanks to Texas Parks and Wildlife’s recent donation to the school’s science program.

Texas Parks and Wildlife donated the quails for the students to dissect in their weekly biology labs. They were also able to determine how the animal emerges itself into the wilderness.
